On September 9, 2026, Prof. Dr. Uns Qusay Hashim, a faculty member in the department, chaired the discussion committee for the Master’s thesis of Noor Emad Hadi, a Master’s student in the Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering at the College of Electrical Engineering Technical, for her thesis entitled:

“Design and Implementation of an Intelligent Cough Detection and Classification System Using Multi-Sensor Data and Machine Learning.”

The thesis focuses on the design and implementation of an intelligent system for detecting and classifying coughs using multi-sensor data and machine learning techniques.
