Driven by a vision that supports the development of digital awareness and the reinforcement of human-rights concepts within the technological domain, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University organized, on Monday, December 8, 2025, a scientific workshop entitled “Digital Activism and Human Rights”, presented by Assistant Lecturer Noor Maher Moataz and Assistant Lecturer Wasf Abdulhameed Taha.

The workshop aimed to highlight the rapid transformations taking place in the digital world and their impact on the system of rights and freedoms, while illustrating the role of modern technologies and social media platforms in enabling individuals to engage in digital activism, raise public awareness, and contribute to the defense of human rights through innovative and influential means.
