On Monday, July 7, 2025, Professor Dr. Wajdi Sadiq, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, chaired the master's thesis defense committee for student Mohammed Saeed Najm in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, University of Baghdad. The thesis was titled:
"Mobile Robot Based Target Follower Using Bayes Filter Algorithm."

The session was marked by a strong academic presence of faculty members and researchers, and extended for over four hours. The discussion addressed the core aspects of the thesis, with a focus on the significance of the topic in enhancing the performance of intelligent robotic systems in real-world environments—especially in overcoming challenges related to vision, lighting, and unpredictable movement.

Following an in-depth and technically rich dialogue, the thesis was accepted with a “Good” grade. The committee recommended extracting additional results to further strengthen the study. The session concluded with congratulations to the student and encouragement to continue research efforts in complex environments and applications such as autonomous vehicles.
