As part of the Department of Computer Engineering's outreach activities to its alumni and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (quality education, decent work, and economic growth),


Under the patronage of the esteemed Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Engineering and the esteemed Head of the Department of Computer Engineering,


The Department of Computer Engineering organized an Alumni Forum on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with the participation of a select group of department graduates from various cohorts, along with a number of professors and current students. This event is part of the department's efforts to strengthen communication between alumni and academic institutions and open up horizons for professional and intellectual cooperation.


The forum included welcoming remarks from the department chair and faculty members, followed by discussion sessions that addressed the graduates' experiences in the job market.


These graduates included:

1. Amna Nashwan - the top student in the department for the 2020-2021 academic year

2. Fatima Abdulrahman - the top student in the department for the 2021-2022 academic year

3. Maitham Mahdi - graduate of the department's class of 2021-2022

4. Hussein Qaysar - graduate of the department's class of 2022-2023

They spoke about the challenges they faced and how they benefited from the skills they acquired during their undergraduate studies. The forum also provided an opportunity for discussion and exchange of views on developing curricula to align with market needs and technological developments.


The forum aims to build an effective communication network between graduates and current students, provide a supportive environment for the exchange of experiences and career opportunities, and foster a sense of belonging to the academic institution.


The forum received positive feedback and praise from attendees, with hopes for the event to continue on a regular basis.


Finally, the department head thanked the attendees and students, wishing everyone continued success in all aspects of their lives.
