The Department of Biomedical Engineering participated in the Chess Championship through its students Ahmed Wissam Salem (third stage) and Ali Hamil Hassan (fourth stage), which was organized by the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University.

This activity is part of the internal program of the Student Activities Division for the students of the College of Engineering. The championship took place in the inner courtyard of the Department of Architecture, with the participation of 15 students from various engineering departments and academic stages.

The tournament was inaugurated in the presence of:

• Prof. Dr. Naseer Aboud Al-Haboubi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs

• Prof. Dr. Haitham Alaa Hussein, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs

The final results of the championship were:

1. First place: Abdul Kareem Abdul Jalil – Computer Engineering

2. Second place: Ali Hamil Hassan – Biomedical Engineering / Fourth Stage

3. Third place: Ahmed Wissam Salem – Biomedical Engineering / Third Stage

4. Fourth place: Abdullah Jalal – Civil Engineering
