As part of the Department of Computer Engineering's academic activities and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (Goals 9 and 12),
The department held a scientific workshop on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, entitled "The Future of Data Centre Cooling: Innovations for Sustainability."
The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Israa Badr Nasser in the department's council hall, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and department staff.
The lecture reviewed the basics of data center design and the importance of providing a highly efficient cooling and ventilation system to ensure data protection and reduce electricity consumption.
The latest technologies available globally were also reviewed to provide the latest cooling and ventilation systems for large data centers.
At the end of the lecture, participants discussed the lecturer and exchanged questions and information.
