The Department of Chemical Engineering, in collaboration with the Psychological Guidance and Educational Counseling Unit and the Women's Affairs Unit at our college, held an awareness workshop on the topic of suicide prevention, presented by Dr. Hind Jassim Hadi, in the department council hall on December 16, 2024.

The aim is to raise community awareness about the importance of suicide prevention by providing psychological and social support strategies, and enhancing the role of individuals and institutions in identifying early signs and effective intervention to save lives. The workshop was attended by the department head and a group of faculty members, where opinions were exchanged regarding the causes, influences, and possible solutions.
