أقام قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي في كلية الهندسة-جامعة النهرين وبرعاية كريمة من السيد عميد كلية الهندسة الاستاذ الدكتور اياد مراد طخاخ المحترم ورشة عمل ألقتها الاستاذ المساعدالدكتورة  رنا ابراهيم محمود التدريسية في قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي والموسومة

(الترقية العلمية ومتطلباتها)

وتهدف الورشة الى تسليط الضوء على آليات الترقية العلمية في الجامعات العراقية، وتوضيح المتطلبات الأساسية والمعايير الأكاديمية الواجب توفرها لدى التدريسيين المتقدمين للترقية إلى مراتب علمية أعلى.

كما هدفت الورشة إلى:

شرح التعليمات والضوابط الوزارية الخاصة بالترقيات العلمية.

توضيح آلية احتساب النقاط المتعلقة بالبحث العلمي، والنشاطات الأكاديمية، وخدمة المجتمع.

تقديم إرشادات عملية للتدريسيين حول كيفية إعداد ملفات الترقية بصورة صحيحة ومتكاملة.

مناقشة أبرز التحديات والصعوبات التي تواجه التدريسيين في مسار الترقية وسبل تجاوزها.

وقد تميزت الورشة بمداخلات مثمرة من الحاضرين، مما أثرى النقاش وأسهم في توضيح العديد من الجوانب الإجرائية والأكاديمية المتعلقة بالترقية العلمية، الأمر الذي يعكس حرص القسم والكلية على دعم المسيرة الأكاديمية للتدريسيين وتعزيز جودة التعليم العالي.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University, under the generous patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh, organized a workshop delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmood, a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, titled:

“Scientific Promotion and Its Requirements.”

The workshop aimed to highlight the mechanisms of scientific promotion in Iraqi universities and to clarify the essential requirements and academic standards that must be met by faculty members applying for promotion to higher academic ranks.

The workshop also aimed to:

• Explain the ministerial regulations and guidelines related to scientific promotions.

• Clarify the mechanism for calculating points related to scientific research, academic activities, and community service.

• Provide practical guidance to faculty members on how to prepare promotion files correctly and comprehensively.

• Discuss the main challenges and difficulties faced by faculty members in the promotion process and ways to overcome them.

The workshop was distinguished by fruitful contributions from the attendees, which enriched the discussion and helped clarify many procedural and academic aspects related to scientific promotion. This reflects the department’s and the college’s commitment to supporting the academic progress of faculty members and enhancing the quality of higher education.
