The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, held a scientific and educational workshop entitled "Solar Panels and Clean Energy." The workshop was led by  Head of the Department Dr. Ali Abdulrahman,   Lucturer Qutaiba Mazenand   and Lucturer  Yassin Saadi, in cooperation with professors from the Al-Nahrain Center for Renewable Energy, including the Center's Director, Dr. Hussein Thamir , and Mr. Sarmad Jasim  . A group of students from the department also attended.

The workshop comprised two main components. The first (theoretical) component was held within the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering. During this component, a detailed explanation of solar energy and the mechanism of solar panels was presented, along with demonstrations of how to connect panels and utilize them in various applications for generating clean energy.

The second (practical) component took place at the Al-Nahrain Center for Renewable Energy. This component included a live, hands-on experiment with solar panels, along with scientific measurements to demonstrate the effect of light radiation on the efficiency of the solar panels. This practical experience, supervised by specialized professors, enhanced the students' practical understanding and connected theoretical concepts with real-world applications. This workshop is part of the department's scientific activities aimed at supporting students and developing their knowledge in the fields of renewable energy and modern technologies, in line with the global trend towards using clean and sustainable energy sources.
